How to play Two Truths and a Lie
Each player makes three statements about themselves: two are true and one is a lie. The other player guesses which one is the lie. Then you swap. That's it: no board, no dice, and the best part comes after the reveal, when you ask for the story behind the strangest true fact.
How to write a lie nobody spots
- Make the truths sound fake. Your weirdest true facts are your best weapons.
- Make the lie boring. A plausible, ordinary lie hides better than a wild one.
- Keep all three the same length and style, so none stands out.
- Base the lie on something real. “I've been to Japan” is easy to fake if you've been to Korea and can describe it.
- Don't smile when you read it. On video, they're watching your face.
