Keep it fun, keep it kind
Chatingly is for meeting people from different places and backgrounds. These rules apply to everyone, on camera and in chat. Everyone agrees to them before their first video chat.

Adults only
You must be 18 or older to use Chatingly. Any conduct or content that exploits, sexualizes or endangers minors is strictly prohibited and may be reported to the authorities.

No nudity or sexual content
Nudity, pornography, and sexually explicit behavior or content are not allowed on camera or in chat.

No harassment or hate
Don't attack or demean others based on race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, age or any other characteristic. No bullying, intimidation or unwanted sexual comments.

No threats or violence
Threats of violence or harm to anyone, and content that glorifies violence, are prohibited.

Respect privacy
Don't record, screenshot or share anyone without their consent, and don't try to find or reveal other people's personal information.

Be yourself
Don't impersonate other people or deceive others about who you are. Don't use bots or automated tools.

No spam or advertising
Chatingly can't be used to market, advertise or promote goods, services, links or other sites.

No self-harm or cruelty
Content that encourages self-harm, or that involves harm or cruelty to animals, is prohibited.

Follow the law
Comply with all laws that apply to you. Don't use Chatingly to promote or carry out illegal activity.

Don't dodge a ban
If you're banned, don't try to get around it with another browser, device or network. Evading a ban is itself a violation, and the ban then covers the new browser or network too.
Enforcement
What happens when someone breaks the rules
Report them. Tap the flag during a call and choose a reason. The chat ends immediately, you won't be matched with them again, and a snapshot of their video goes to our moderators with your report. If you skipped first, the flag still reports your last match for two minutes.
Moderators review every report. People who break these rules are banned for a day, a month, a year or permanently, depending on what happened. Someone reported by several people within an hour is banned automatically for a day until a moderator looks at it. We may restrict access, temporarily or permanently, for serious or repeated violations, with or without notice.
You can always leave. Press Next (or Esc) to end any conversation instantly. You never owe a stranger an explanation.
